Card Creator Policy Warning System

Hi chat,

As you may know, WaifuGame has a very high number of cards (over 1.7 million), and players can Create Cards. Most of the cards are fine, but there are inappropriate cards as well. These can be reported to WaifuGame staff and we'll delete them. In addition to those deletions, we now have a warning system to let card creators know if an added card crosses the line. Three warnings = ban.

The system has been in beta for 2 months, and so far two people have been banned for continuing to upload these kinds of cards despite the warnings. In total, 17 players have received warnings.

Some people have had concerns about getting banned as they create a lot of cards. Let me be clear:

• Warnings are issued by me personally, never automatically (no AI or algorithms). In many cases, I delete the card without issuing a warning, as it's often a gray area. I only issue a warning if I think you should have known it's over the line.
• There are safeguards in place:
  • After a warning, you won't get another warning for another 7 days. (Giving you enough time to read the warning)
  • You can only receive new warnings for cards created AFTER you received the warning. (You won't have to worry about cards created in the past. They may still be deleted, but you won't be banned for them.)
  • Your warning count is reset after 6 months of 'good behavior'.
• This system is in place to show where the line is. I trust most people will learn from even a single warning. The possibility of a ban is really there for people that willingly and knowingly break the rule, possibly related to the Card Creation quest and refund systems (🍗?)

• Card Search has been optimized so it's a lot faster now

• Shard spending is now logged properly
